Столкнулся с такой проблемой. Купили мне на работе новый комп - двухядерный Пень 4,2, 1Гб оперативки, видео Radeon 9800 или 9600 не помню. Согласитесь, машинка нормальная для работы... но в мое сознание закрадывалась мысля, что работаеть не на полную силу, в часности замечал по шопу, что работает он не достаточно быстро (у меня CS2). Но окончательно я убедился, когда делал бигборд 3/6 метра на нем, а потом его же доделывал дома на своем старичке : атлон 2000, 512 мозгов и видео GF MX480, который как мне казалось давно пора в топку... но к моему удивлению мой домашний комп справлялся с обработкой сего творения значительно шустрее, чем мой рабочий "монстр". Подскажите пожалуйста в чем может быть прикол?

вариантов может быть очень много
вот у меня атлон 64 2х 6000+, мать на нфорс 5700 ультра, память ддр2 2планки по 1056 мб, видео гфорс 7200 256мб. А тормоза наметились и оказалось из-за сети - файловый сервер, где на рейде все хранится стал подвисать и попутно комп виснет, потому что прога, которая занимается поиском по базе сервера постоянно к нему обращается.
сетевой принтер или сканер с юсб портом может тоже тормозить систему.
Или просто за день система загрузилась кучей ненужного хлама и нужно перегрузить.
Дома может быть железо слабее но качественнее и без конфликтов, тем более, что хоть он и двухядерник, но на приложение не отдается только одно ядро.
вобщем это видеть нужно
потестите рабочую и домашнюю машины чем-то типа 3дмарк и сравните.

УРА! Нашли лекарство от торомозов в Фотошопе КС2 !!!

Вернее как, оно всегда было… у всех под рукой… но вот никто не догадывался об этом, а кто догадывался молчал как партизан!

И вот один человек раскрыл тайну компании Адоб (они по идее и не скрывали вовсе), вернее человек был более допытлив и по натуре не тормоз.

Так вот, этот человек (ну действительно он достоин этого) обнаружил в дистрибутиве самого продукта набор файлов для правки реестра. они вот тут:

Goodies/OptionalPlug-Ins/PhotoshopOnly/OptionalExtensions

и запуская нужные файлы (с окончанием off), мы добавляем данные в реестр нашей операционки, что помогает избавляться от разных видов тормозов и пр…

Какие именно нужно запускать читайте в Ридми (там же), правда на английском (помогите корректно перевести на благо общества) но по большому счету все понятно.

These registry key files are here to allow users to work around certain specific issues under the guidance of Technical Support. Using them changes entries in your Windows registry file. They are intended to allow users who don’t feel comfortable editing the registry, to still change those Photoshop settings that don’t warrant their own control in the User Interface. It should be very rare that any user needs to use any of these registry files.


To use a registry key:

1. Exit Photoshop.

2. Copy the Registry Key file to your hard disk from the Goodies/Optional Plug-Ins/Photoshop Only/Optional Extensions folder on the Adobe Photoshop CD-ROM.

3. Back up your registry if desired, by choosing Start > Run and typing in «regedit» without the quotation marks. Choose File > Export and select a location and name for your backup registry that is easy to find if you need to use the backup file. Click Save. Exit from the Registry Editor.

4. Double click the .reg file that you copied to your hard drive. Click Open in the File Download window, and click Yes in the Registry Editor window when asked if you are sure you want to add this information to the registry. Click OK in the Registry Editor confirmation window.

5. Launch Photoshop.



Allow Network Scratch Registry Key

Adobe Photoshop CS2 does not list network drives in the Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks preferences window by default. Using a network drive as a scratch disk will significantly decrease Photoshop’s performance and may contribute to file corruption.



Running the Allow Network Scratch registry key allows you to use a network drive as a scratch disk, by listing the network drives currently mapped to your computer in each of the scratch disk pop-up menus in Edit > Preferences. To disable this function, use these instructions to run the AllowNetworkScratch_OFF_D.reg file.






Allow Removable Scratch Registry Key

Adobe Photoshop CS2 does not list removable media drives, such as Zip or floppy drives, in the Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks preferences window by default. Using a removable media drive as a scratch disk may significantly decrease Photoshop performance and may contribute to file corruption. Running the Allow Removable Scratch registry key allows you to use a removable media drive as a scratch disk, by listing the removable media drives currently attached to your computer in each of the scratch disk pop-up menus in Edit > Preferences. Writable or re-writable CD-ROM drives are not listed. To disable this function, use these instructions to run the AllowRemovableScratch_OFF_D.reg file.




Allow Import Clipboard Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 aggressively checks for clipboard changes before it reimports data. When Photoshop finds a reported change, it fails to reimport modified data. Always Show Palettes Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 hides its palettes when another application is activated while Photoshop is running (thereby deactivating Photoshop). The Always Show Palettes registry key allows Photoshop’s palettes to be displayed when Photoshop is deactivated. To allow palettes to be hidden again when Photoshop is deactivated, use these instructions to run the AlwaysShowPalettes_OFF_D.reg file.




Bad Driver RGB Check Registry Key

Some display adapter drivers can cause display errors in Adobe Photoshop CS2 if they don’t send colors to the screen in an expected way. By default, Photoshop checks to determine if the colors will be written as expected. To stop Photoshop from checking this color data, run the BadDriverRGBlitCheck_OFF.reg file. To reestablish this color checking, use these instructions to run the BadDriverRGBlitCheck_ON_D.reg file.




Bad Driver Sticky Cursor Registry Key

Some display adapter drivers can cause cursor malfunctions in Adobe Photoshop CS2, such as the cursor not changing from one tool icon to another. By default, Photoshop allows the display adapter driver to perform all its regular functions. If a driver causes problems with the cursor in Photoshop, turning on this registry key gives Photoshop more cursor control, helping to solve the problem. To give the display adapter driver full cursor control again, use these instructions to run the BadDriverStickyCrsr_OFF_D.reg file.






Blit Single Scan Lines Registry Key

Some display adapter drivers can malfunction when you use Adobe Photoshop CS2. By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 allows the display adapter driver to perform all its regular functions. If a driver is causing problems in Photoshop, turning on this registry key may reduce display problems. To turn off this registry key, use these instructions to run the BlitSingleScanLines_OFF_D.reg file.




Clipboard Size Limit Registry Key

Some applications become prone to crashing when large files are copied to the clipboard. Because of this, by default Adobe Photoshop CS2 imposes a 4 megabyte limit on the size of any image it exports to the clipboard.



Running the Clipboard Size Limit_OFF.reg file removes this limit, allowing you to export larger images to the clipboard, but increasing the chance that other applications will crash because of the amount of data on the clipboard. To reactivate this function, use these instructions to run the Clipboard Size Limit_ON_D.reg file.




Disable Scratch Compression Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 compresses pages before it writes them to the scratch file. This does not result in smaller scratch files, because Photoshop must still reserve scratch space for the uncompressed pages. For slow hard disks or some SCSI implementations, however, reducing the page size allows for faster disk transfer time, and this compensates for the time needed to compress and decompress the pages. If you are using a fast hard disk or SCSI implementation, you do not need this compression.



Running the DisableScratchCmprs_ON.reg file turns off the scratch page compression, and may provide a slight performance increase on computers with fast hard disks and SCSI implementations. To turn on scratch compression again, use these instructions to run the DisableScratchCmprs_OFF_D.reg file.




Force VM Compression Registry Key

To decrease the time it takes to save files, Adobe Photoshop CS2 does not, by default, aggressively compress files for scratch disk (VM, or virtual memory) optimization before it saves them. When the scratch disk is on the same disk that a file is saved to, and there is little free hard disk space left, aggressive scratch disk compression can increase the amount of space available for saving a file.



The ForceVMCompression registry key forces aggressive scratch disk compression to take place before each file is saved. Saving files is slower when this registry key is enabled, but it makes more disk space available during the save. To turn this function off, use these instructions to run the ForceVMCompressionOFF_D.reg file.


Ignore EXIF sRGB Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 reads and applies the EXIF color profile tags that are written to digital camera images. Some cameras incorrectly code their color profile tag as sRGB, causing images to display incorrectly in Photoshop. This registry key forces Photoshop to ignore the color profile tag specified by the EXIF metadata, allowing you to assign the appropriate profile to your images in Photoshop. To turn this function off, use these instructions to run the IgnoreEXIFsRGB_OFF_D.reg file.


Optimize Redraw Drawing Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 slows the display of real-time resizing for display adapter cards that are not able to display this redrawing as fast as Photoshop can perform it. Print Passthrough Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 assumes that you want to use the Windows GDI to print, which is the normal passthrough mode. Remember Slow Files Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 removes files from its Open Recent file list if locating and opening the file takes longer than 1/3 second. Some removable devices and network drives may take longer than this.

Running the Remember Slow Files registry key prevents the Open Recent list from forgetting about files that take too long to resolve when the list is updated; it allows up to 20 seconds to resolve the file locations. However, saving or opening a file may take longer if this registry key is activated. To turn this function off, use these instructions to run the RememberSlowFiles_OFF_D.reg file.


Show Windows Thumbnails Registry Key

By default, Adobe Photoshop CS2 allows thumbnails to be displayed in its Open dialog box. If you prefer not to show image thumbnails in this window, you can turn off this registry key. If these problems occur, you may want to turn this function off. To reactivate the Use Async I/O registry key, use these instructions to run the UseAsyncIO_ON_D.reg file.
